Francesco Igory Deiana (b. 1986 in Milan, Italy; lives and works in Brooklyn, New York)

Francesco Igory Deiana is an Italian contemporary artist whose multidisciplinary practice encompasses drawing, painting, and sculpture. His work explores the intersections of abstraction and representation, analog and digital processes, and intuition and precision.

Drawing forms the foundation of Deiana’s practice. Through graphite, ink, paint, and mixed media, he creates intricate compositions that balance meticulous craftsmanship with intuitive mark-making. His work often moves between architecture, landscape, machinery, and abstraction, creating a visual language that feels both highly structured and deeply organic.

In recent years, Deiana has expanded his practice into painting and sculpture, introducing vibrant color, symbolic imagery, and organic forms while maintaining the structural rigor that characterizes his work. Across different media, his practice explores perception, transformation, and the tension between order and spontaneity.

Born in Milan, Deiana worked closely with Barry McGee in San Francisco from 2009 to 2015 before continuing his artistic practice in Los Angeles and later establishing his studio in Brooklyn, New York. His work has been exhibited internationally across the United States, Europe, and Asia.
